TAKUYA YURA
President and CEO
Yura started getting involved in racing car manufacturing as early as in his high-school age, and started designing his own racing cars as a freelance designer in 1972.
His racing car was so brilliant especially in it's aerodynamics performance that Yura was called "the man who sees the air moving".
At present, as Mooncraft's president, Yura has been active than ever creating new products. He has designed and developed car parts for in/out of Japan, special cars for motor shows, yachts, power-boat, and so on.
His creativity never stops. Not only around racing cars, he has been broadening his horizon from video game to even an amusement park; designing machine character for video-game, stationary, furniture, and entertaining vehicle for an amusement park...these are only a small part of things coming up from Yura's mind into the world.
In 2004, Yura directed a racing team at Super GT championship; His originally designed watch was on exclusive sale, commemorating SEIKO chronograph's 40th anniversary.
In 2005, started making the super-sport car New SHI-DEN, which is to race SuperGT-300class 2006; Also producing furniture as a variation of SHI-DEN brand. |

We have been active not only as a manufacturer, but also as a racing team; we have raced in top category in Japan since 1985: in prototype sports car, touring car, and formula car racing. Through these years, we have developed our technology, knowledge and experiences.
Our racing team is a great mixture of techniques and experiences: Aerodynamics from racing car manufacturing, and experienced skills in management and teamwork at circuit.
Besides them, we also offer historical car restoring, revised car manufacturing and car race event support. |

Motorsport Division / Chief Engineer
Involved in manufacturing original F3000/F1 cars.
After our original racing team set up, worked as a race engineer in many race categories: F3000, Group A, JTCC, Formula Nippon, Super GT 500class.
Has been in the current position since 1993, leading to many victories. |
